Add Custom Fillers

 

You can add your own words for Speeko to detect! For example, you can ask Speeko to alert you when you say “awesome” too often.

By default, Speeko detects the fillers “uh,” “um,” “like,” “so,” “I mean,” “or something,” and “you know.” Speeko also detects hedging words such as “sorta” and “kinda” and qualifying words such as “actually” and “literally.”

With custom fillers, Speeko can show you real-time alerts and transcript analysis for any word that you want!

Add a custom filler on iPhone/iPad

  1. Go to the Progress tab.
  2. Tap the icon in the top right corner to open the Settings menu.
  3. Tap Edit custom fillers...
  4. Tap Add New Filler.
  5. Enter your custom word or phrase (up to 2 words in length).

  1. Choose Settings > Edit custom fillers... from the menu bar.
  2. Click Add New Filler.
  3. Enter your custom word or phrase (up to 2 words in length).

And that’s it! When you start a session with real-time feedback turned on, you’ll receive an alert whenever you say your custom filler frequently. In the feedback report, any detected custom filers will be in the Eloquence metric.

Your custom fillers are synced to your account and will appear across all devices.
